Since the start of the century Airstream ownership in Europe has increased rapidly and there are hundreds now. Dealerships and specialist companies have increased to meet the demands of the growing numbers of vintage and new trailers. The formation of a Europe branch of the Wally Byam Airstream Club also became a necessary part of this development. Formed in July 2015, the club has grown steadily across the continent and has members in 13 countries. The membership is diverse with ages ranging from their 30s to 70s. A few are retired full-timers but most are a mix of young enthusiasts from a wide range of backgrounds with their own different reasons for buying an Airstream. Most are experienced Airstreamers able to help with questions and problems and to share experiences of travel throughout Europe. The biggest assets in the Airstream community are the people who own them. Socialising with them is easy and fun. Joining WBCCI Europe is the key to participating in the ethos that makes the International Airstream Club unique in the world. The Europe Unit organises rallies and caravans as well as sharing fun, food, travel, advice and support with owners of iconic Airstreams, new and vintage, the most recognisable travel trailer in the world.
