TUCSON UNPLUGGED 2022

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10 – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13

It’s that time again!

Looking for the perfect place to unwind, catch a breath and relax listening to birds and coyotes before the holiday rush? Catalina State Park’s group campground is the spot...with no electricity... anywhere. You could rev up that generator, but why? The cell service isn’t that great either. Remember when a vacation meant you waved goodbye and said, “I’ll call you when I get back”? You talked to no one while you were gone!

If you love a true getaway with hiking, biking or just tilting those recliners back and hanging up lanterns at dusk to cook your BBQ dinner...well, this rally is for you.

Catalina’s Gila Monster and Flycatcher loops are perfect for DRY GROUP camping. There’s a shower/bathhouse right in the campsite. This area is the only location in the park which offers the opportunity for a campfire, too!

Perhaps the park ranger will offer a morning bird walk or an evening of star gazing! There are mountain bike and hiking trails as well as interactive historical walks to ancient ruins. If you enjoy a more leisurely bike ride, explore the park roads. This park is a favorite of ours as well as many other 4CU members offering great accessibility in northern Tucson.

This is a relaxing rally. Time to do what you like, maybe discuss a book, play some cards, Yahtzee or even work on a project. The choice is yours. This. Is. Camping.

We have 30 sites in these private group areas. Our group ramada has one solar light, tables and charcoal grill! We share the shower house with two hosts on the premises as well as any guests staying at another adjacent group area. There are two free dumps in the park. PLEASE COME FULL WITH WATER. The park has potable water but the Arizona State Parks often have water supply issues.

There are no assigned sites so we will file in as trailers arrive. IMPORTANT: Should you have a personal limitation and need to be closer to the bathhouse, please get in touch and let us know ahead of time.

Should you need access to electric/water or pull-through sites for personal necessity, campground areas “A” and “B” are available. You will need to register online through AZ Parks* and pre-pay your daily night fee based on current rates. Please let us know which site you have reserved. * Catalina State Park Reservations

If you stay in reserved areas, you need to check in with the 4CU hosts at the Group Area. Thank you.
