Carolinas Club - 2025 Carolinas Traveling Group to International

The North Bend Park/Kerr Dam rally will serve as a jumping off point for members/affiliates that will be going to the 68th Airstream Club International Rally in York, Pennsylvania. We are planning a traveling group so that members can travel together, arrive together, and park together at the International Rally. You may join us at any campground on the route to be part of the traveling group.

A summary of the tentative journey stops includes: 

• Sunday, August 17 | Departure from North Bend Park/Kerr Dam
• Sunday, August 17 - Tuesday, August 19 | Group stay at Misty Mountain Camp Resort
• Tuesday, August 19 | Departure from Misty Mountain Camp Resort
• Tuesday, August 19 - Friday, August 22 | Group stay at Artillery Ridge Campground & Horse Park
• Friday, August 22 | Departure from Artillery Ridge Campground & Horse Park
• Friday, August 22 | Group arrival at York Expo Center for the International Rally

DETAILS ABOUT THE JOURNEY AND CAMPGROUNDS:

Stop 1

North Bend Park/Kerr Dam (Boydton, VA)

• If you intend to participate in the North Bend Park/Kerr Dam rally (on the front end) of the traveling group, please visit the North Bend Park event rally page for details about making your camping reservations and to pay your rally fee.
• If you intend to just join in after the rally is over, but depart with the group, then you will need to be ready to go outside North Bend Park on the morning of Sunday, August 17. Please be sure Roger Holland is aware of your participation.
• Travel from Boydton to Greenwood is expected to be about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Stop 2

Misty Mountain Camp Resort (Greenwood, VA)

• Camping for 2 nights (arriving Sunday, August 17, and departing Tuesday, August 19)
• Full hook-up sites are limited, so reserve at Misty Mountain as soon as possible.
• Tell them you are with the Carolinas Airstream Club so hopefully we will be close together at the campground.
• We do not have a block of sites.
• Contact Misty Mountain campground at 540.456.6409 to make your camping reservation.
• Travel from Greenwood to Gettysburg is expected to be about 3 hours.

Stop 3

Artillery Ridge Campground & Horse Park (Gettysburg, PA)

• Camping for 3 nights (arriving Tuesday, August 19, and departing Friday, August 22)
• Block of sites for Carolinas Airstream Club (to be held until April 15, 2025), so reserve as soon as possible.
• Contact Artillery Ridge at 717.334.1288 to make your camping reservation.
• Note: Any CAC members that can't do the former traveling group stops, but still want to park with fellow CAC members will need to meet up outside of Artillery Ridge on the morning of Friday, August 22. Please be sure Roger Holland is aware of your participation.
• Travel from Gettysburg to York is expect to be about 45 minutes.

Stop 4

68th Airstream Club International Rally

York Expo Center

• Arriving Friday, August 22
• Each participant will need to make sure they have paid the rally and camping fees for the International Rally.
• Each participant will need to make sure they have paid for arrival on Friday, August 22.
• Each participant will need to confirm their parking preference individually (i.e., parking with Carolinas Airstream Club members; parking with a specific Intra-Club group; parking in general parking; requested ADA parking,, etc., as only one parking option can be processed).
• Additional details will be shared with the traveling group participants as we get closer regarding daily logistics, etc.
