Goose Creek 2

Campsite Reservations will open in November 2024!! (And the park only has 22 RV sites)

The eight miles of trails at Goose Creek State Park lead visitors through a broad range of coastal experiences-live oaks draped in Spanish moss, wetlands along the Pamlico Sound and a cypress swamp viewed from an
extensive boardwalk. A visitor and environmental education center explains it all with detailed exhibits.

Remnants of boat piers, a trackless railroad bed, and burnt remains of tar kilns provide a glimpse of the heyday of a lumber industry that was once the center of life in the area. The park's estuarine habitats can be explored on foot or by paddling the Pamlico River.

We could plan an outing to visit the NC Estuarium one day and another day to historic Bath, North Carolina.

While at the Estuarium, we could visit the downtown Washington waterfront filled with restaurants, shops and breweries.

More details to come...stay tuned!

We hope you can join us!
