Fall into the Springs: Rainbow Springs Rally
Our September rally is at Rainbow Springs State Park, one of Florida’s most beautiful natural springs.
Because this is a popular Florida State Park, campsites filled quickly last fall after our email reminder blast at 11 months out.
Those without campsite reservations may want to try wanderinglabs.com, a service that monitors cancellations and sends alerts when sites become available.
Be sure to become a Premier member and register your cell phone for quick response. Many members, including your hosts, have had success using this service.
Once a privately owned amusement park, the site now offers stunning scenery, man-made waterfalls and outdoor recreation along the crystal-clear Rainbow River.
Activities include opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, tubing, swimming, and boat tours as well as hiking the park trails or just relaxing with friends old and new. Watercraft rentals are available at the park if you don’t bring your own.
The surrounding area features scenic rural landscapes, charming small towns, and easy access to attractions in Gainesville and Ocala. Access the river from the campground to fish, swim or paddle.
The rally runs from Thursday, September 17 through Sunday, September 20. Friday is the best day for river activities due to lighter crowds. All campsites include water, 30/50 amp electric and full sewer hook-ups.
If you have secured a campsite and plan to join us at the rally, please register on the club website (floridaairstreamclub.org) so we can plan food and activities accurately. A detailed itinerary and additional information will be sent to registrants several weeks before the rally.
