PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This is an active caravan which travels through altitudes of 4,000 to 8,000 feet in elevation.  Anyone with health issues related to high altitudes should be aware that this caravan involves activities in high-altitude areas.  Drivers should be comfortable driving in mountains, with steep ascents and descents with many curves.  We will also experience a wide range of temperatures, from freezing temperatures at the North Rim (where we dry camp) to the upper 90’s F (35C) in Moab UT.  We will be dry camping (no electrical, water or dump services) at three stops and cell-phone service and campground internet will be limited in some locations. 

OVERVIEW: The Airstream Southwest Adventure Caravan runs from mid-August through September and into early October capturing the stunning beauty of the fall landscapes. Beginning and ending in Albuquerque, NM, we will discover many corners of the Southwest that most tourists may never see.  Experience changing topography and savor local cuisine in each area. Stand in four states at one time in the Four-Corners region of CO, UT, AZ, and NM.   We will visit Indian pueblos and reservations to learn about their cultures from Native guides. The grandeur of the scenery will amaze you as we ride a narrow-gauge train up to Silverton CO and visit the Mighty Five national parks in Utah. From the mountain forests of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to the vistas at Lake Powell, you will experience a small taste of the great Southwest has to offer. Our final two weeks will take us back through New Mexico and finish with our grand finale, the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Come prepared to have fun and share many adventures with your fellow caravanners!
