We have reserved the group area for this rally. We were at Caballo Lake SP in October 2023. This year, the Caballo Lake Rally, will be a joint rally with the Arizona and New Mexico.
Hosts: Steve and Sophia Rodgers, Co-host: Chuck and Andrea Hanson.
Overview
Caballo Lake State Park is considered one of the top 10 state parks in New Mexico. Located 16 miles south of Truth or Consequences, it is accessible via old Highway 187 or from 1-25 Exit 59. Our rally is within a short walking distance from the Rio Grande River. Recreations include fishing, biking, hiking, and if permissible, kayaking (check with park). Twenty miles south of the park is the town of Hatch which is widely known as the “best chili place in the world for growing a wide variety of chili peppers”. Located in Hatch is also Sparky’s restaurant which is best known for their green chili cheese burgers. Make plans for lunch on one of the days.
On Friday night, if interested, we will have dinner at Arrey’s café. They have a ribeye special. Please indicate on the jotform how many ribeye you want, if interested or indicate no ribeye. The menu also has excellent Mexican food. Also indicate which seating you want, 5 pm or 6:30 pm. Can only accommodate first 25 people with the 5pm seating. The restaurant only takes cash, no credit card.
For this rally, although 4 Corners Unit are the main hosts, we are also joined by the Arizona and New Mexico units. We will have a Halloween party on Saturday night with a catered dinner and dancing. Please dress up in your favorite costume and decorate your airstream. Dress up your pets too. Awards will be given for best decorated trailer and costumes.
