The Loop Web Bike Path Site

Registration opens on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 8am AZ Time.

Catalina’s Ringtail and Flycatcher loops are perfect for DRY GROUP camping. There’s a shower/bathhouse right in the campsite. This area is the only location in the park which offers the opportunity for a campfire, too!

There are mountain bike and hiking trails as well as interactive historical walks to ancient ruins. If you enjoy a more leisurely bike ride, explore the park roads. Easy access to Tucson’s famous bike path as well.

We have 23 sites in these private group areas. Our group site has plenty of lights, tables and charcoal grils.  We share the shower house with two hosts on the premises as well as any guests staying at another adjacent group area. There are two free pump outs in the park. PLEASE COME FULL WITH WATER. The park has potable water but the Arizona State Parks often have water supply issues.

Only limited usage of quiet generators is acceptable.  We have limited spaces available in the Flycatcher loop for those who rely on prolonged generator usage and big rigs.  Let us know in the comments on the registration form if you want this accomodation. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Sites will be assigned one week prior to arrival, so you'll know where to go if a host isn't around when you arrive.

Similar to last year, we will have a group bike ride on The Loop on Friday late morning, and possibly again on Saturday morning, depending on demand.  We will discuss length and destination before departure based on how everyone is feeling.  We had a group last year that went all the way to Top Golf and back.

Following up on last year's Saturday group session, there will be a more detailed discussion of favorite camping spots and destinations.  If you would like to share details on your favorite spot, let us know on the registration form and we will follow up with you.  We plan to have a large monitor available for sharing photos with the group.  More topics are listed in the itinerary below.

Should you need electric/water sites for personal necessity, campground areas “A” and “B” are available. You will need to register online through AZ Parks* and pre-pay your daily night fee based on current rates. Let us know which site you have reserved. * Catalina State Park Reservations

If you stay in reserved areas, check in with the 4CU hosts at the Group Area upon arrival. Thank you.
