Come join us in Creede, Colorado at this fun Wagon Wheel Rally. Airstream founder Wally Byam parked Airstreams in the “the Wagon Wheel” formation because he knew there is magic inside that wheel! People gather, bond, and learn as they are drawn to the “center.”
The Wagon Wheel parking will take place on Tuesday September 23, from 10AM to 2PM. Enjoy the spectacular fall colors, fly fishing, hiking and the town of Creede, Enjoy three group dinners and discover the community that emerges from Wally's famous Wagon Wheel.
Location: The Dabney Ranch - Home of CAC members Becki and Michael Carmichael. Please note this event takes place at an altitude of 9,500'. This event is located roughly 20 miles from Creede and just over 20 miles to Lake City.
This is a DRY CAMPING event. There is no power, no water, no sewer dump. Solar power and/or generators are recommended, since we will be camping 4 nights in late-September at an altitude of 9500'. If you are not familiar with dry camping, this is a great place to learn the tricks. In these days of full campgrounds, knowing how to dry camp opens up a world of camping possibilities in the most beautiful locales.
