This rally starts on Thursday, May 1 and ends on Sunday May 5, 2024. More information about this rally will be posted later. Rally fun includes opportunities to tour a Kentucky coal mine, participate in a ranger-led hike into the Natural Tunnel and for the grand finale for Saturday night there is a visit to the historic Carter Family Fold to visit their historic A.P.Carter Cabin from 1800's and attend a music concert in their historic venue. In an age of high speed technology, it seems unlikely that thousands of people can spend a weekend mesmerized by the voices of storytellers, yet at this event, that’s exactly what happens. The National Storytelling Festival began in 1973 when 60 people gathered to hear a few Appalachian tales told from the back of a hay wagon. Our registration will simply ask you if you plan on camping with our East TN Airstream Club, or an intra-club. For us to camp together as East TN Airstream Club, we need to arrive together and we have chosen to arrive two-days before the event starts -- on Thursday October 3. Arriving on this day will get us there in time to enjoy the First Thursday event in town with lots of arts vendors and open houses. If you have already registered for International but did not initially plan on coming two-days early, you can call Interntaional in Jackson Center and pay for the additional days.

If you would like to camp with others from our East TN Club, then arrive two-days early, so we can all camp together. Be sure to register with our Cheddar Up cart (see link below) so our East TN Airstream Club will know you are coming.
