Nuts for Ruts: Finding the Oregon Trail
The Oregon Trail Caravan was last offered in 2009. The 2021 version starts just after the 2021 Lebanon, TN, International Rally, on July 29, 2021. It is fully subscribed for 2021, but we encourage you to sign up anyway. We are keeping a Wait List with first rights on the 2022 version. Everyone will get our semi-regular newsletter to keep you up to date.
Following the path of the early pioneers we will cross the plains searching for the actual ruts the wagons left on their way west. We will visit museums, historical sites, and will find wonderful places to meet and eat.
This history-based caravan provides a month of exploring significant sites along the original Oregon Trail. We begin in St. Joseph, Missouri, travel through Nebraska to Fort Kearney, to Casper and Lander, Wyoming, to Montpelier and Pocatello, Idaho, entering Oregon to Baker City, and Pendleton, and end at the Trails End Visitor Center in Oregon City, Oregon.
The kitty fee includes the opening banquet, commemorative patches and pins, all camping fees, a number of meals along the way, and admission to many of the wonderful attractions we will visit as a group.
