Linn County’s newest park has been an Airstream favorite with two rallies recently. At those rallies our sites were spread out. We will all be together in the group camp “G” loop with just six sites. There is a picnic and fire pit area for our get-togethers.
The park is large with plenty of paved roads for dog walking. There is also a one-mile trail around the park with river access. Nearby is Cascadia with a covered bridge, a state park with a trail to waterfalls and a trail along the South Santiam River.
Your hosts have searched in vain for preserved section of the Santiam Wagon Trail. Perhaps this will be the time they find it.
The Point Restaurant back towards Sweet Home is a local favorite.
