Steamboat KOA Pet Policy
Each participant will be provided with a detailed list of possible activities prior to arrival. Optional activities will be outlined each evening at the campground Happy Hour.
To help you plan your visit, here is the offering of OPTIONAL offerings:
Tubing the Yampa Tuesday, June 25th starting at 10am from vendor in town. Approx 2.5 hours
Steamboat Resort's Sunset Happy Hour is scheduled for Thursday, June 27th, Gondola opens 5pm, last
ride down 8.30pm.
A Strawberry Park Hot Springs group visit will be scheduled from 3-5pm on Wednesday, June 26th.
Club pickleball will be held for Wednesday, June 26th from 9-11am at the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball
Center. (There are also free public pickle ball and tennis courts at the Howelson Rodeo Complex- no
reservations required.)
There are naturally occurring hot waters dotted around Steamboat Springs. A guided walk is available
through town for anyone interested in learning more about Steamboat's springs.
The Old Town Health and Recreation center right downtown offers day passes for soaking, working out,
relaxing poolside or scheduling a massage.
The City of Steamboat Springs Transit system provides free bus service directly from the KOA into town
for shopping and dining, and further on to the the ski resort.
The Core Trail bike and walking path follows along side the Yampa River and starts 1/2 mile from the KOA.
The golfing community is served by three public courses: Steamboat Golf Club, Haymaker Golf Course and
Craig City Golf Course.
FIshing is popular along the public access of the Yampa River as well at the gold-medal waters of
Steamboat Lake, a gorgeous 45 minute drive from town. These waters also provide tubing, kayaking and
paddle board opportunities.
Anybody up for bowling? Snow Bowl is right down the road from the KOA, and offers really good food and. drink along with a great outdoor space after a game or two.
Early risers may wish to hop in the basket of a Hot Air Balloon for a bird's-eye view of the gorgeous Yampa. Valley.
