Unit 30's traditional fall rally, now called "Pumpkin Fest," has for years been a popular gathering for club members. It usually represents the first "post-summer" event where campfires are welcomed in the evening as Florida's warm temperatures subside.

Myakka River State Park is an expansive, lush, and wildlife heavy location, visited by many species of migrating birds and home to a healthy population of alligators and wild pigs. There are miles of paved and unpaved hiking and biking trails, freshwater fishing opportunities, and lovely shaded campsites.

Nearby Sarasota is packed with great attractions, restaurants, and shopping.
