This 105-acre TN state park sits just upstream from the falls of the scenic Nolichucky River and is maintained as a memorial to the legendary Davy Crockett.  There is plenty see and do in the area, including an 18th-century living farmstead, replica cabin, limestone marker, and visitor center exhibits. Nearby is the Cherokee National Forest and his father’s Crockett Tavern Museum in Morristown. The Nolichucky River provides fishing opportunities for a variety of fish including, smallmouth and largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, redeye, and catfish.

Nearby Jonesborough offers some great dining and shopping with a quaint little downtown area (Tennessee’s oldest town!), which is just a 20-min drive down US-321.  Also, the National Storytelling Center is open and will be worth a visit.
