Remember this is a "hot" Florida State Park so book early!
This rally was a success last year, it's once again on the rally schedule. We don't have a specific schedule yet, but these were some of the activities that were a hit last year.
Hiking on the trails
Kayaking Salt run on New Year's Eve - low key paddle catching the sunset
Biking/Walking to the Farmer's Market then hanging out while listening to music at the Amphitheatre
General biking through a few of the neighborhoods
If you arrive early say by Tuesday on Wednesday morning there is another larger farmer's market at the pier
Hanging out on the beach/catching a sunrise
Checking out the San Sebastian Winery or the St. Augustine Distillery
Night of Lights Trolley Tour(about 30 min)
Day time Trolley Tour where you can hop on and off all day once you have a ticket (about 90 min long w/ lots of history)
A day trip to Washington Oaks State Park
The biggest hit were the fireworks that you could see without leaving the park
We are going to try to have an organized tour at the Lighthouse and then lunch afterwards at the Conch house.
This rally we try to keep low key so that people have a really good chance to go and sight see as much as possible
Remember this is at a state park so as the hosts we don't have spots reserved. Since it is at a state park the sites are reserved at this point. So you can always set up a Wandering Labs alert to get a spot. Once you get the alert be quick to reserve as they go quickly. (We recommend paying a small fee so that they text you.) You never know when you will get an alert, it maybe soon or it maybe just a few days before the rally. It's just when someone in the system cancels.
The alternate location is the St. Augustine KOA. It is bikable from the KOA to the park. There is a busy road but it does have a crosswalk.
