Steps to take for Registration:
  1. Reserve NOW by phone (Rjourney Call Center) - (970) 821-8975

  2. Complete and Submit the AAC Online Registration Form

  3. If you decide to cancel your Attendance please cancel with AAC by Notifying the Rally Host and the RV campground to enable others to take your place and to alert rally hosts

  4. Cancelling with AAC does not cancel your RV campground site and you will be subject to their billing and cancellation policies.

Dolores River Campground has full hook-ups and genuinely nice facilities for our happy hours and potlucks. 

Recreational Opportunities:
It’s much cooler in Dolores Colorado. Enjoy the natural beauty with an optional mountain music festival or celebrate the coming of summer as you float down the river. McFee Reservoir and Canyons of The Ancients Visitor Center & Museum are nearby. Telluride, Mesa Verde and the Durango Silverton Railroad are an easy day trip from camp.

Food and Entertainment:
"End of Trail" catering will provide a dinner that will be included in the Rally Fee. The date for this dinner is Friday, June 3, 2022.

A Wood Fired Pizza Truck may be available onsite (Thursday or Friday) during the Rally.

The Dolores River Fest Celebration should be in full swing June 4, 2022.

Rally Fee: $40.00 (per person)  - Includes "End of Trail" catered meal Friday, June 3rd (locally sourced shredded beef or shredded chicken, garden salad, potato salad, spicy ranch style beans (using local beans), sweet maple bacon beans and rolls). (There will be a vegetarian option for the dinner if preordered at Registration).

There is a strict AAC "Rally Fee" cancellation policy. (Cancellation within 30 days of the Rally will result in forfeiture of the "Rally Fee".)

To get your campsite at our rally:

  • Book Your Site NOW - Call Rjourney (970) 821- 8975.
  • Identify as an Arizona Airstream Club member; payment is required at time of booking

Vintage Airstream Club:
VAC members will be doing some presentations on Friday June 3rd.  Information about the Rally will be in the next VAC newsletter and will include all the participants. The Dolores River Festival is held on Saturday. 


Dolores Way Out West Rally Schedule

June 2, Thursday 

5:00 PM - Welcome Happy hour, bring a snack to share, Site TBD


June 3, Friday 

8:00 AM - Coffee & Pastries at Kandi’s, site 70, bring your own Mug.

9:00 AM - Rodney Sly, Axles, Brakes and Safety. Presentation will be in the Recreation Hall. Attendees will learn how to travel safe in their Vintage airstream. As Rod makes his presentation, he will be encouraging audience participation.

10:00 AM - Heidi Vail, Culinary Camping Conversations with Heidi. In 2018 Heidi and her husband bought an airstream and started traveling. Since then, she has used her experience as an off premise caterer to prefect the culinary arts on the road. Her presentation will be trailer side at site TBD.

10:15 AM - Pat McDowell and Bill Fisher will be demonstrating and instructing participants on selecting proper rivets and riveting techniques. This will be a hands-on and an opportunity to learn how to become a riveter. This presentation will be outside at a location TBD.

11:15 AM - Ken Johansen will be teaching a class on polishing techniques. Participants will learn the basic skills and what equipment is required when polishing a trailer. This presentation will be at Ken’s trailer. The site number will be announced on Thursday evening.

2:00 to 3:00PM - There will be an open door viewing for vintage and non-vintage, also a swap meet.

3:00 PM - VAC meeting; all are welcome to join in. The location of the meeting will be announced on Thursday evening.

5:00 PM - Happy hour, site TBD

6:00 PM - (approximate), Catered Dinner, Cowboy theme in the club house.


June 4, Saturday 

8:00 AM - Coffee & Pastries at Kandi’s, site 70, bring your own Mug.

Riverfest all day or visit various sites in the area.

5:00 PM - Happy hour, bring snack to share, Site TBD


June 5, Sunday 

Those departing have a safe trip home, those staying longer. Happy hour at Mike’s site.


Cancellations: (AAC Cancellation Policy)

Simple Concept: If your cancellation results in a cost to the club, you will absorb the cost. The club does not plan the rallies and rally fees to make money, nor should the club be expected to lose money.

If you decide to cancel your Attendance please cancel by notifying the RV Campground, then notify Arizona Airstream Club of your cancellation.

Cancelling with AAC does not cancel your RV Campground Reservation and you will be subject to their billing and cancellation policies.

For this Event, if you need to cancel your attendance do so directly with Dolores River Campground, then contact Arizona Airstream Club (contact form) to notify the Club of your cancellation so that we know not to expect you.
