Welcome to the 2025 CAC Moab Rally!

October is a perfect time of year to visit Moab as the temperatures during the day are pleasant (versus the scalding hot summertime in the desert).  Moab offers endless outdoor experiences and we have lined up a few group activities as well as lists of other ideas and opportunities you could explore on your own.

Canyonlands National Park is approximately 30.2 miles away from our campground and can be visited on your own any time during our rally.

However, because Arches National Park is only 5.2 miles from our camp sites, you will discover our activities and events are planned around this national park specifically.

Be aware: Arches National Park requires both a Park Entrance Pass and an Arches National Park Timed Entry Ticket. Park Entrance Passes can be purchased when you first enter the park ($30/vehicle and is good for 7 days). Timed Entry Tickets are NOT available at the gate and must be purchased ahead of time. One ticket per vehicle with a 1 hour window for entrance. Once entered, you may stay in the park all day.  Likewise, you may leave and return to the park during the same day.  To get your Timed Entry Ticket, you can download and use the Recreation.gov App or visit their website at https://www.recreation.gov/. Consider our itinerary below, plan ahead and acquire Timed Entry Tickets as soon as possible as they sell out quickly and become available 6 mos. in advance (April 10, 2025)

Note: If you enter the parks before 7AM or after 4PM a timed entry ticket is not necessary.  Also note, if you decide to book a guided tour with a company, the passes and entry tickets should be taken care of for you for that particular event.

At any time during our stay, If you decide to explore Arches or Canyonlands on your own, we suggest downloading the Shaka Guide App or visit their website (https://www.shakaguide.com/) to access self-guided audio tours through the parks that will narrate your experience according to your location.  You can even choose to go in “reverse direction” if you prefer to begin at the furthest point away and work your way back to the entrance.   Guided tours for Arches and Canyonlands cost $15 to download, but we think it's well worth the investment.

Because there is plenty of opportunity to explore interests outside the planned itinerary, we suggest you also visit the Discover Moab (https://www.discovermoab.com/) where you might find many other things that match your personal interests.
