About the Venue:

Pocomoke River State Park is located 12 miles south of historic Berlin,MD (where the 1999 movie, Runaway Bride, with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, was filmed), and 30 miles from the family resort of Ocean City, MD.

The pet-friendly Acorn Trail Loop in the Shad Landing Area campground is wooded and spacious, bordered by the Pocomoke State Forest, and “provides an opportunity for visitors to experience the wonders of the Great Bald Cypress Swamp and the tranquility of one of the Eastern Shore’s premier tidal rivers”. More Park information can be found at Pokomoke State Park.

Amenities include:

  • Electric hook-ups in the Acorn Trail Loop
  • River access for boating and fishing
  • Canoe and kayak rentals (dependent on finish date of dock repair)
  • A Nature Center
  • Camp store
  • Bath house with showers
  • Dump station

There are hiking trails and plenty of paved roads for bike riding. Nearby Pocomoke City is home of the Delmarva Discovery Museum, where you can learn about the history of the river and its people for the last 300 years. Or take a quiet cruise on the Bay Queen, a 42- foot river boat.

Along with Pocomoke City, the town of Snow Hill offers restaurants and antique stores. Check back her for more to come on things to do and see!

Electric campsites are $38.50 per night, but if you have a Golden Age Pass for Maryland State Parks, you can get a discount.

We have reserved site 4 for our gathering area and we have a group hold on the Acorn Trail Loop until April 2025. To make your reservations for the sites that are being held, call the Reservation Line 1-888-432-2267, and provide the group hold code: PRMD24-257023, ACI Rally 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of the sites are smaller than others - 

  • Campers up to 20’, sites 15, 16, 19 and 28 are for smaller rigs.
  • Campers up to 30’, sites 8, 13, 14, 17, 18, 26, 27
  • Campers up to 35’, sites 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25
