Sip of Texas III - Fredericksburg

Join us in Fredericksburg, Texas for a rally you are sure to remember! You’ll set up camp at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park Campground, less than 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. With so many wineries, distilleries, and breweries, unique downtown shopping, historic sites and museums, plus many outdoor opportunities, we’ve included ample time on your own to explore the area. This weekend is also the 2024 FREDERICKSBURG CRAWFISH FESTIVAL.

The $280 per person rally fee provides a fun-filled chartered bus day visiting an award-winning distillery and three amazing Texas Hill Country wineries. You will enjoy a unique distillery tour and tasting, with lunch provided. At each winery, we have arranged for you to enjoy a tasting or a glass of wine. In addition, you will experience a tour of the Estate Winery production area at Becker Vineyard. Your fees also include a Wednesday Night Welcome Charcuterie table, a catered Friday night dinner, breakfast and coffee on Saturday morning, our Murder Mystery Dinner, and a variety of door prizes. Last and most unique, each participant will receive their very own engraved Grapes & Grains flask to commemorate our time together.

Sip of Kentucky (Sold Out)

Come join us for the Sip of Kentucky Rally where we will show you how bourbon is made and enjoyed. We have two full days of motor coach tours to 6 distilleries, including box lunches and a catered meal. The motor coach will pick us up at the campground and take us to multiple distilleries on both Thursday and Friday. The rally fee includes: two full days of chartered bus transportation to more than 6 different distilleries for tours and tastings, several evenings of happy hours, a catered Mexican meal, and we are trying to line up a speaker for the Frankfort Bourbon Society. Saturday is an open day to discover Frankfort and possibly add another distillery, winery or brewery visit. If you are planning an additional distillery tour, bear in mind that reservations need to be made 3-4 months in advance. Some suggestions are Glen’s Creek Distillery, and others.

Campsite Reservations are NOT included in the rally fee so call Elkhorn Creek RV Park at 502-695-9154 and mention you are making reservations for Airstream Sip of Kentucky Rally.  The campsites range between $202 and $224 for the 4-day rally.

Sip of Wisconsin

Come join us on June 5-9 for our First Sip of Wisconsin Rally at Green County Fairgrounds in Monroe, Wisconsin! Monroe is home to the second oldest brewery in the United States.

During this rally you will experience some of Wisconsin’s finest beer and the best cheese you have ever tasted, while learning how to make cheese fondue. We will also tour the National Cheese Museum and the Alp & Dell cheese store where the owner, Toni, a Swiss dairy farmer, will give us a guided tour of the Roth cheese factory and yodel for us. Friday night we will be Polka dancing in the streets of historic New Glarus.

The $190 per person rally fee will include: specialty cup, cheese trays first night, coffee and pastries, Fondue lesson, dinner music, bus transportation to and from New Glarus, two dinners, wine tasting, brewery tour and Museum admission.

For pet owners, we have made arrangements for dog walkers to come to the campground on Friday while we are in New Glarus. Their $20 fee will include a visit to the campground the day before to meet everyone and a midday exercise for your pet on Friday. If you have any questions contact Linda at cmeinholz@gmail.com

Note: Campsite reservations are not included in the rally fee. The $25 a night fee will have to be paid in cash or check upon arrival at the Fairgrounds.

Monroe, known as the "Cheese Capital of the USA" is located in the southwest corner of Wisconsin. A rural county that's beautiful rolling hills are dotted with family-owned dairy farms. The County was founded by Swiss Immigrants and the area still preserves a distinctive Swiss Character. Add a day or two to your trip to visit Madison, the state capital and the home of the University of Wisconsin. You may also want to spend time at Taliesin, which is Frank Llyod Wright’s 37,000-square-foot home, studio, school and 800-acre estate. The Great River Road features 30 charming historic towns as it passes through Wisconsin. For our biking enthusiasts, the Badger State Trail, a 40 mile rail to trail bike path, passes directly through Monroe.

Sip of Niagara Falls

Grab your passport and join some of your fellow Grapes & Grains members in Canada at one of nature's most splendid wonders, Niagara Falls. On August 29th to September 2nd this rally picks up where the Sippin’ to Niagara Falls Caravan ends, which is the Niagara Falls Ontario KOA Holiday.

The campground is minutes away from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and very close to numerous wineries, breweries, and distilleries. The rally fee includes your four-night stay at the Holiday KOA which has a pool and many other amenities, a wine bus tour to multiple wineries, four breakfasts and two catered meals. Also included is the WEGO 48 hour bus pass which connects Niagara Parks, restaurants, shops and attractions alleviating the anxiety of parking your big truck in downtown Niagara Falls.

Sip of Oregon

This five-night Grapes & Grains event, September 3-8, is one you won’t want to miss! The beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon is noted for world-class wineries as well as breweries and distilleries and Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum (home of the Spruce Goose) next to the RV Park. There are so many things to do in the Willamette Valley with easy access to biking, hiking, or the spectacular Oregon Coast can be visited on a day trip. The RV Park is close to McMinnville, a charming town with many tasting rooms, shops, and great restaurants.

Included in the $60 Rally Registration fee are a Signature Welcome Cocktail or glass of wine, special hors-d’oeuvres, a souvenir G&G glass, and a contribution to a local charity on behalf of Grapes & Grains attendees. We will have optional winery, distillery, and brewery tours and Michele Paris, private chef and Oregon Airstream Club member, will offer optional gourmet Wine Matching dinners on two evenings. All of these optional events are ala carte and require separate payment at a later date.

Campsite Reservations are NOT included in the rally fee so call the Olde Stone Village RV Park (4.5 stars) in McMinnville, OR, at 503-472-4315 and advise them you are registering for the Airstream Grapes and Grains event, September 3-8. The nightly rate is $71.50, FHU; 10% discount for Good Sam members or those who served in the military. Cancellation fee: Camping cancellation fees are subject to the policy of Olde Stone Village. Rally cancellation fees will be $10 if there is a Wait List and your place can be filled. If the cancellation is up to 30 days in advance of the rally and cannot be filled, there will be a 50% refund. If cancellation is under 30 days and cannot be filled, there will be no refund.

Sip of Virginia II - Greenwood

Come find out why the Sip of Virginia is one of our most coveted rallies to attend. Besides being near over 50 wineries, breweries, distilleries, and cideries, you can visit historic downtown Charlottesville or a 10-minute drive places you on either the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive, both provide spectacular views and hikes of all levels. During the rally there will be a Hop-on-Hop-off bus to wineries/breweries/distilleries, two catered meals, a wine tasting at the campground, coffee every morning, and much more! This event marks our final rally for the season and will also include an installation ceremony for the Officers of the Executive Board. We know you will want to be there to show your support.

Cost: $190 per person

This year we are trading polo season for Halloween, feel free to decorate accordingly. 

Optional: 
For those of you that just cannot bear to see the 2024 Sip season end on Sunday November 3, how about we spend one more day together? Stay an extra night at the campground and leave on Monday, November 4, 2024.  On Sunday November 3, let's go to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello together. $32 per person includes a guided highlights tour of the first floor of the house and optional guided Garden tour and guided Slavery tour/talk.

Sip of the Finger Lakes (Sold Out)

Join us in the Finger Lakes of New York to enjoy one of the most winery rich areas of the country. We will be camping at the Finger Lakes RV Resort located within a 15-minute drive of 10 of the more than 60 wineries that surround Seneca Lake. Finger Lakes Distilling is just 5 minutes from the campground, offering tours and tastings daily. Watkins Glen is a short 15-minute drive away and is known as the "The Heart of the Finger Lakes". It is home to gorgeous parks, and a newly renovated downtown area hosting local shops and restaurants. Outdoor recreation opportunities are endless in the abundant beauty of the Watkins Glen State Park, Sugar Hill State Forest, and Finger Lakes National Forest. With numerous waterfalls to hike to, miles of lake for kayaking and even a fire tower to climb, there is something for every outdoor enthusiast.

We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a memorable rally.

The $325 per person rally fee includes a one of a kind souvenir glass, catered meals at the campground, a catered farewell dinner with views of beautiful Seneca Lake, daily morning coffee at the pavilion, chartered bus transportation to three wineries, exclusive cellar tour with Ventosa Vineyards vintner, game nights with prizes and much more!

Campsite fees for the four nights are: $353 for back in and $375 for pull through. Before you can register and pay your rally fees, you must first call the campground, 607-375-7587, to secure your campsite. They are full time airstreamers and are currently out west. Leave a message and they normally call back within 24 hours.

Sipping Across Missouri Caravan


The Sipping Across Missouri Caravan runs from September 20th to the 30th.

In true Grapes & Grains fashion, this caravan will combine camping with winery, brewery and distillery tastings and tours in Kansas City, Columbia, Hermann, and St. Louis.

While in Kansas City we will:

  • tour and taste at the oldest distillery west of the Mississippi River, still operating in its original location
  • sample some of the over 1100 domestic and international whiskeys at a local snug
  • visit and dine at a distillery where you can exit the bar while zooming down a 40 foot custom built slide

In Columbia we will:

  • tour Warm Springs Ranch, the home of the Budweiser Clydesdales
  • enjoy a trailside retreat adjacent to the Missouri River while sampling wines, beers or products from their distillery

In Hermann, we will:

  • enjoy a catered dinner at a local craft spirit distillery
  • ride the Hermann Trolley to seven different wineries and several distilleries

In St. Louis we will:

  • tour the Budweiser factory
  • sample tastings at two local distilleries
  • share our farewell dinner at a local award winning Italian kitchen

Your kitty fee ($2259 for two in a rig, $1604 for a single) includes five catered meals, final banquet, all your camping fees, bus transportation in Kansas City and St. Louis, the Hermann Trolley, and admission to all of the scheduled tastings and tours.

If you are attending the International rally in Sedalia, this caravan ends five days before the start giving you ample time to relax.

Sippin' to Niagara Falls Caravan


The long awaited Sippin' to Niagara falls Caravan is now ready for booking. On August 20th, the caravan begins at Wapakoneta, Ohio for two nights, which gives you plenty of time to explore Jackson Center, home of the Airstream Factories and the Airstream Heritage Museum. Then the caravan heads north into Canada, crossing at Windsor, Ontario where we will stay in Amherstburg, Ontario. Make sure your passports are up to date!

While in Amherstburg, Ontario we will visit J.P Wisers, home of Hiram Walker Whiskey, and another distillery. Next we travel to Turkey Point, Ontario for visits to local wineries. The final stop on the caravan is Niagara Falls, Ontario, home to the 7th Natural Wonder of the World. Here we will take an all day guided bus tour of some of the local wineries.

Your caravan fee includes a bus pass which will take you anywhere in downtown Niagara Falls, from the Maid of the Mist boat ride to the Skylon Tower and many other attractions downtown. This caravan ends on Thursday August 29. Sign up now and be a part of this amazing caravan.
