Spend 38 days exploring the sights, sounds and tastes of Canada’s three Maritime Provinces: New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, ending at the WBCCI 70th Anniversary Rally. Explore historic forts, coastal villages and museums, experiencing the cultures of this beautiful part of Canada.
Did you know that the Wally Byam Caravan Club (now the WBCCI) was founded in Canada? Back in 1955, during an Eastern Canada Caravan while touring Nova Scotia, the group decided to create the club. A plaque commemorating this event is found near Kentville, Nova Scotia.
For 2025, this caravan exploring Canada’s Maritime Provinces will culminate at the Region 1 Rally to celebrate the Founding of WBCCI in 1955.
We start August 1st in New Brunswick (just across the border from Maine) and spend the next 38 days exploring the sights, sounds and tastes of Canada’s three Maritime Provinces: New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, ending at the 70th Anniversary Rally
location. Along the way we will see historic forts, coastal villages and museums. We will experience the cultures of this beautiful part of Canada, settled by the Acadians, Scots, Irish and English, all interacting in various ways with the indigenous population. We’ll experience the conditions of past century coal miners underground, go whale watching and sail on a lobster boat. Fishing inland lakes and rivers led by local guides may be an optional activity for those interested. Celtic fiddle music will get your toes tapping and everywhere there are fresh lobsters, scallops and mussels. From the world’s highest tides to red sandy beaches, the Maritimes will call you back again and again. The caravan includes registration for the 70th Anniversary Rally where we’ll participate in Rally activities, meeting Airstreamers from throughout Region One (Northeast US, Quebec & the Maritimes) and beyond.
We are including some free time to do your own thing. Some people may like to bike, hike, fish, play a round of golf, shop, or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Whatever your interests may be, there will be opportunities to enjoy your favourite pastime.
