Unfortunately my husband and I are not going to be able to get to the rally. We live in Black Mountain, North Carolina, and I'm sure you've seen the news and the devastation that has taken place across the mountains from Hurricane Helene. Luckily we had already begun our journey to Sedalia when the storm hit so our Airstream survived. We are safe and living in our trailer at a campground near Robbinsville close to the Tennessee border. We have full services here including Starlink. Because interstates and roads, including those to our home, are closed by washouts and landslides, we cannot leave. We tried to find a route out to the north or south to get to the rally but it was either impossible or too risky to leave where we are.
We are members of the Carolinas Airstream Club and had planned to arrive with the club caravan on October 4th. We were really looking forward to this year's rally since we couldn't make Rock Springs. My husband is a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran and has to be on oxygen if he gets above 4,000 feet. I know we are beyond the cancellation date where we can get a full refund, but I'm hoping under the circumstances you might be able to give us a partial refund at least.
We hope you have a wonderful rally. The schedule looks fantastic. We will do our best to be in Pennsylvania next year.
