At an elevation of 4,150 feet, this rustic high desert RV park gives you the feeling of the old days. It’s located 1/2 mile east of the town of Burns on Hwy 20.

The area is teeming with golf, tennis, hiking, swimming, fishing, and biking options. The natural attractions are also endless, with the Steens Mountains, Alvord Desert, Malheur Wildlife Refuge, Hot Springs, Ochoco National Forest, and the BLM Wild Horse Corrals located nearby. So many wonderful things to see.

However, the main event during our stay in April is the chance to witness thousands of migratory birds as they rest and feed in the open spaces of the high desert. Since 1981, the county has celebrated the migrations that pass through Harney Basin on the Pacific flyway. Harney Basin is one of the three most essential areas left in the Western United States for spring migratory birds stopping on their way north. This vast area will make you appreciate the variety of beauty that Oregon has to offer, and the spring migration is a must for your bucket list.
