Come join us to camp in the wild winter of the Oregon Coast at the lovely Cape Lookout State Park. We’ve secured 15 full hook up sites at the great park, just south of Netarts, OR which is just west of Tillamook.
It isn’t always rainy and windy in the winter there. We have a home in Oceanside, just north of the park, and we have some wonderful sunny days there as well – you just never know. And that’s half the fun. The wide beaches are often almost empty of tourists and that means there are more treasurers to be found there in the winter.
Not into walking in the rain? You can go to the new visitor’s center at the Tillamook Cheese Factory, which is quite amazing. Have lunch there or maybe just an ice cream cone. Or visit some good restaurants, food carts and breweries that have popped up in Tillamook recently. Check out the Air Museum for a look at some great old planes – they also serve lunch and sell brisket and other BBQ meats by the pound. Or go further north and check out Garibaldi and the great antique stores in Wheeler. A little further north and visit Manzanita or do some wine tasting in Nehalem. Go south and shop at the outlet stores in Lincoln City.
There is so much to do at the central Oregon Coast.
