Cedar Key is commonly known as the Key West of NW Florida. Located where the Suwannee River meets the Gulf of Mexico; the town of Cedar Key is three miles from the mainland on an island called “Way Key.” Once a major shipping port of cedar, cypress pine, Rosen, and turpentine is Florida’s second oldest town, Cedar Key feels untouched in today’s world.
