Palo Duro Canyon Hikin’ and Bikin’ Rally
October 2 – 5, 2025
The rally is full, and there may be cancellations. If you wish, please contact Kathy or Helen about a waitlist.
Welcome to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the second-largest canyon in the United States. Descend 600 feet to the canyon's floor, where we will spend our time. The Park is 27,173 acres and 120 miles long, and we can explore it on one of many trails. Please join us on this Rally as we hike or bike in the great outdoors, with panoramic views and views of the night sky.
The sign-up will be slightly different as this is a Texas State Park. And YES, it needs to happen early to acquire spots as soon as the “Reservation Window” is open, generally 5 months before the rally dates. We will stay in TWO adjacent camping areas, within the Juniper Loop. Wolfberry Group area. It has 9 sites with water and electric (50- 30A). The park required that all 9 sites be reserved together, so the club has already reserved and paid for these sites. The President and the 2 hosts already take three of these spots. The first 6 people to sign up via Constant Contact will be assigned these spots, with a nightly rate of $25. Payment for these spots will be included in their Rally Fee. We will contact the first 6 people to inform them they’re in the Wolfberry Group Area. From the 7th person on, they must reserve a site directly through the Texas Parks & Wildlife Reservation page, in the Juniper Camp Area, sites 97 – 116. We will contact you so you can go online and reserve your spot through TPW.
Again, our rally group will be in the Juniper Loop, either in the Wolfberry Group Area or the Juniper Camp Area. If you have any questions, please contact the Dickersons or the Ashleys for more information.
