Chester Frost Park is a large quiet family campground offering full hook-ups and located on
Lake Chickamauga (The Tennessee River). It is located a few miles north of Chattanooga in
Hamilton County, Tennessee. Chattanooga is a beautiful vacation location with history, outdoor
activities, great restaurants and shopping, and beautiful scenery. The Tennessee River Valley is
bounded on the east by the Smokey Mountains and on the west by the Cumberland Plateau. The
area includes Civil War battle sites and museums including Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain,
and Missionary Ridge. Downtown Chattanooga offers a world class aquarium with both fresh
water and ocean exhibits, the Medal of Honor Museum, and the Discovery Museum, one of the
top Children’s museums in the country. There are a plethora of hiking and biking trails
throughout the area as well as hang gliding and rock climbing for the more adventurous. Join us
for a fun four days in a beautiful setting.

Friday, September 23

 7:00-8:30 Coffee and pastry at Campsite (TBD)
 9:30 Meet at Chickamauga Battlefield National Park Visitor Center for
Chickamauga Battlefield Tour.
 12:30 Lunch at Bea’s, a Chattanooga tradition.
 2:00 Medal of Honor Museum tour, downtown Chattanooga
 6:00 Dinner at Roger and Patti Smith’s home on the river (15 minutes north of
campground).

Saturday, September 24
 7:00-8:30 Coffee and Pastry at Campsite (TBD)
 Your own activities: Aquarium, Ruby Falls, Rock City, Hiking, Jack Daniels Distillery
tour (2 hour drive), Booth Western Art Museum (1 hour drive), Lookout Mountain
Battlefield, Cog Railway, Tennessee Railroad Museum, hiking, biking.
 6:30 Dinner on the Lake. One of the favorite things to do on Lake Chickamauga is to take
a boat to one of the many great restaurants on the lake. We will arrange for pontoon boats
and make reservations for all who want to attend.
 9:00 Campfire time at the campground. Music, singing, conversation.
