Route to Region Rally Stop 1 - Topaz Lake

First Stop on our way to the Region 12 Rally is Topaz Lake, just south or Gardnerville, NV. The Visit Carson Valley web site says "a sparkling diamond from a dangling earring, Topaz Lake is ....  an unexpected oasis with the arid Great Basin to the east and the towering Sierra Nevada range to the west".

We'll have an opportunity to visit with the SNU member community headed south, fish, watercraft and explore the area, maybe try our luck at the Topaz Lodge Casino or head into the mountains on foot, bike, or ATV by taking the trails of Switchback Mountain. 

Can't make the whole time, stop in when you can or stage here for our caravan south, leaving at 8 AM, to Stop 2 - Tuttle Creek Campground in Lone Pine, CA.
