Wayne & Pat Griffith have graciously volunteered to host a BOONDOCKING rally at Bent Oak Farm in lovely Camden, SC. Camden is the oldest inland city in SC, home of the Carolina Cup horse race. Its history includes the worst American defeat of the Revolution in 1780 as well as being home to six Confederate generals during the American Civil War.
Nearby is the Congaree Swamp with a 2.3 mile trail/boardwalk for all skill levels along with canoeing on the lake (to name one of the many attractions). There's also plenty of antiquing in the quaint town of Camden.
This will be a very laid-back rally BUT we want you to bring your fishing poles, lounge chairs; mountain bikes; walking shoes and a fabulous sense of humor for lots of outdoor fun....
Current meal plans are for a chili dinner one night, and if we're lucky a fresh fish fry from Lake Patricia!
Come join us on Lake Patricia, at Bent Oak Farm, in lovely Camden SC for the first and hopefully annual, "Keep Calm & OC" rally.
Please send an email to notify Pat ONLY if you plan to come and she will send you actual directions. If you are not sure what OC stands for, ask Pat in your email. NOTE! The map pin on the ACI map is only for The City of Camden. Bent Oak is a privately owned farm and, for privacy reasons, we are not publishing the actual address online. Space is limited, so email Pat soon. SECU members and affiliates, please sign up on the SECU Facebook page also.
