STRUMMIN’, HUMMIN’ AND STREAMIN’

The February Rally is on! Registration is open for the rally at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP), January 30-February 3, 2020.
The park is in a rustic, rural section of northern Florida with many opportunities to explore the Suwannee River, bike trails and picturesque towns.

You don’t want to miss the Possum Stew Cook-off. The sky is the limit, any stew will do. If you can’t find a possum, feel free to bring the ingredients of your choice. Any stew-like dish can be entered: stews with and without dumplings, oyster stew, gumbo, even chili recipes can be included. We will have prizes for the contestants and yummy dinner for the rest of us! Cook-off winners will be determined via secret ballot. Grab your crockpot, Instantpot, Dutch oven or whatever you use to make a mean stew and enter the contest.

Entry deadline is January 1, 2020

For the music fans in our group (and who isn’t?) our rally will be surrounded by music: Karaoke on Thursday night, concerts on Friday and Saturday nights at the Music Hall.
Right near our campsites, Pickin’ at the Pickin’ Shed starts on Saturday at 3pm and continues until...

There’s a chapel for Sunday morning services too.

Plan to bring your bikes, paddle equipment and artistic skills.

The Suwannee Canoe Outpost (386) 364-4991 located in the park offers canoe and kayak rentals and shuttle service.

The SOSMP Country Store (386) 364-4841 rents bikes and golf carts and sells basic camping supplies too.

Maryanne Swegles will lead us in a Paint & Sip Class that will be great fun.

Would you like to get involved? We can use coordinators for our paddling and bicycle outings.
There is always plenty to help with during the rallies at mealtimes or during other activities. You can indicate what you would like to help with in the comments box on the registration form and thank you in advance!
