President’s Message

We enter this year with the gratitude of surviving the year 2020 and the anticipation of a better year to come.

I would like to welcome our newest members of the Texas Hill Country Unit Lane and Dayna Lowke of Austin. We hope to have a warm and special welcome to our new members at our next big rally.

As you know, because of the ongoing pandemic, we did not have our traditional December luncheon. However, we had our first “Texas Hill Country Unit Holiday Toast” after Christmas. My notice of this event was short. Many of our members didn’t see the invitation. Still, we successfully have our “virtual toast” celebrated by Zephyr and Dan Marek, Tim and Ally Ebbers, David Toy, Luci DiGiorgio, and me. Our virtual toast went so well on Google Meet. We look forward to using this platform for our monthly meeting and occasional virtual happy hour until the time we can enjoy each other’s company in person.

Right now, we have not confirmed any future rallies. When COVID-19 dissipates, we will verify our future rallies. Until then, we will monitor the situation and trust that it will be sometime this year. Until then, we will have a monthly virtual meeting for our members to be held on the third Saturday at noon. Look for a notice to be sent to your email for a virtual meeting on January 16.

The Region 9 annual rally is Tuesday – Sunday, April 13-18, 2021, in Mineola, TX.
