We return to Troy and the astounding Carve Montana, Intl. Chainsaw Carving Competition. Stay along the Kootenai River, visit Swinging Bridge, Ross Creek Cedar Forest, raft the river, take a scenic byway. Watch the carvers create amazing art and maybe take a piece home with you! Abundant outdoor adventures to be had. A club favorite. There might be a quilt show nearby if you are interested.
Located in scenic northwestern Montana, the campground is surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest and bounded by the Kootenai River. A wide variety of outdoor recreational activities are available in the Kootenai including Fishing, Hiking, Backpacking, Kayaking, OHV trails, and Hunting. The Kootenai is truly one of Montana's treasures, with extensive beauty and recreation without the crowds found near the national parks.
