Alabama Airstream Club Host Fiddlers Rally

Sponsored by WBCCI and the Alabama Airstream Club this year's Fiddlers Rally had 40 rigs from seven states attending. Even though the weather was unusually hot with days of 100 degrees, everyone had a good time regardless.
Like last years Fiddlers Rally, the Airstreams were parked at the Athens State University (ASU) ballfield, just a short walk from the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention (TVOTFC) that's held on the campus of ASU.
Rocket City RV, the only Airstream dealer in Alabama, brought three new Airstreams to show; a Bambi, a small trailer, a Flying Cloud, a medium size trailer, and the wonderful, newly designed Classic, a larger trailer.
Our agenda was full of activities. On Wednesday, October 2nd, the Vietnam Veterans Association hosted a nice spaghetti dinner for us, and on Thursday, October 3rd, we enjoyed a happy hour at the ballfield, then on Friday morning, October 4th, the Alabama Veterans Museum hosted a sausage and biscuit breakfast.
After breakfast, Alabama Airstream Club president, Bill Lancaster, opened the annual business meeting where new Club officers were inducted by WBCCI Region 6 president, Jim Johnson.
Of course, everyone enjoyed the music, the vendors and the many types of food and beverages.
