Wisc-UP Spring Rally and Business Meeting   May 19, 20, 21, 22

Camping will be at the Vernon County Fairgrounds, Viroqua, Wisconsin.  Up to 56 sites have electric, potable water is available at the main entrance for filling fresh tanks.  Dump site available on site.

Vernon County has a lot to offer visitors.  The hilly unglaciated land features steep hills, forested ridges and deeply carved valleys often filled with spring fed trout stream.  Historically settled by Norwegians it also was the home of Germans, Czechs, Italians and was one of the largest rural black settlements in Wisconsin.  It is the home of the Organic Valley Coop, supplied by the numerous organic farms, and Amish family farms. 

Join us for a group Friday night fish fry, and our luncheon and Spring Business Meeting on Saturday.

Things to do on your own: 

  • Tour Amish farms selling food and goods, we will offer a list of some of the farms to visit
  • Class 1 Trout fishing in Kickapoo River and other local streams
  • Canoe rentals in Ontario, to traverse winding Kickapoo River, Ontario
  • Tour area vineyards, Hillsborough brewery and dine at several of the Farm to Table restaurants
  • Viroqua Farmers Market Saturday morning, sales by local organic and Amish farmers
  • Hike the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, and/or bike the 24 miles of off-road trails
  • Visit Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center, Coon Valley
  • Follow the Black Hawk Trail, the route taken by the Sauk Chief Blackhawk as his people fled American soldiers in 1836
  • Tour The Great River Road, The Scenic Byways along the Mississippi River

Please sign up for the Friday fish fry and /or Saturday luncheon during registration so that we can give the restaurants accurate head counts. We will order off the menu.

Sites are $20 per night, sign up by May 1. Wisc-UP will collect your camping fee during the registration process. Register Here
