To boondock or not to boondock? You get to decide!

The Spring meeting campout will be held at Wyalusing State Park on May 5,6,& 7 of 2023.  Wyalusing is south of Prairie du Chien, WI.  The plan is to all camp in the Homestead Campground and you can decide if you want to boondock or not.  If you have never, but would like to practice up, look at sites 245 to 255. Electric sites are 201 to207 and 214 to 219.  Sites here are roomy.

The Spring meeting will probably be in Prairie du Chien at a place to be determined. If you have never been here before, you are in the heart of the driftless area.  This is the area explored by Marquette and Jolliet in 1673. It is an area rich in natural beauty and things to do.  The park itself has many trails to walk, a canoe trail on the backwaters of the Mississippi, an observatory, and stunning vistas.

The town itself is Wisconsin’s second oldest city with an interesting past.  In the heyday of the fur trade, one man made his fortune - Hercules Dousman - a name familiar in many towns and his son built a stunning house - the Villa Louis.  The military had a presence here and 3 forts were built here. As you might already have gathered, there is a lot to do here and you may want to come early or stay late!

I will have more info later, but please book your sites early.  This park is busy!
