Interested in boondocking at a safe, secure, fun location? For FREE! We are invited to participate in the Armed Forces Day events at the Port Angeles, WA Airport. We will boondock right at the airport where
all the action will occur. There is no cost for our camping and no entrance fee for Saturday's events.

Armed Forces Day is a long-time event for Port Angeles area residents, celebrating active and retired members from all branches of service. Participants include Clallam County VFW, Disabled American
Veterans, Daughters of the American Revolution, Friends of Willie and Joe WWII Encampment, Cascade War Birds, Civil Air Patrol, USCG and USCG Auxiliary, Life Flight Network, Music by Black Diamond Junction, and great food. The scheduled events are 10AM to 4PM on Saturday, May 21.

We can camp for free on Friday May 20 through Sunday May 22. No meals are planned but you can count on Friday and Saturday happy hours. Did I mention there will be a beer garden on site?!

Our invitation to camp comes from Dave and Margie Woodcock, former Washington Unit members and longtime Sequim residents.

The William R. Fairchild International Airport is at 1402 Fairchild Airport Road, just west of Port Angeles.

This is a boondocking, dry camping venue in a large grassy field immediately west of the hangers. There is room for about 30 rigs, lots of room, easy access from blacktop hanger area to our spot. Mostly level,
mowed grass, but leveling blocks may be needed. Dogs on leash OK. No fires or fire pits. Propane BBQ and generators OK. This is a perfect time to experience boondocking with experienced dry campers around you for support.
