Montana Airstream Club July Newsletter

Summer Camping is in full swing! I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the camping opportunities and events Montana, Wyoming and the surrounding area has to offer this time of year. Let that search engine on your phone and the ACI website be your guides. The Montana Folk Festival here in Butte was another raging success and The Red Ants Pant Music Festival coming up this weekend in White Sulpher Springs always puts on a remarkable event. Get out there and enjoy the season! The annual Hands Across the Border (HAB) rally begins August 28th this year in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Be sure to get signed up for this one! It will be interesting to see what Malcolm and company have cooked up for us this year. Paul and Sharon Lindstrom will once again lead the Caravan to Lethbridge, leaving promptly from the Town Pump truck stop in Great Falls, exit 277, at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to join the caravan including all of our treasured affiliates. Get there early so you are fueled up and ready to leave at 10:00. Bring your own lunch as we will be stopping in Milk River just across the border with the Lindstrom Lunch League, before proceeding to the Rally. The Annual Meeting of the Montana Airstream Club will be held after dinner at the HAB on Sunday August 31st. Susan McPhee, president of Region 10, will be attending for the swearing in of newly elected officers. We have four vacant positions to elect at this meeting and I encourage you all to consider volunteering for one of the open positions. Having been your president for the past year has been a very rewarding experience, and I look forward to another year in that position. The positions of First and Second Vice President and two Trustees are open for nomination and election at the Rally. When you become an officer on our executive council, you will learn about the inner workings of the Montana Club, Region 10 and ACI. When you become an officer, you open up an opportunity to meet and engage with people from all over the country that share and enjoy camping, rallying, and caravaning all across North America ... experiences you'll cherish for a lifetime. Please consider volunteering for one of the open positions. At the meeting, I will explain what we have cooking for the upcoming season and listen to your suggestions on what and where you would like to do and go as well. Our collaboration with the Wyoming Club has been an enjoyable experience, and we wish to continue that collaboration. Is there anyone attending the ACI International Rally in York, PA. next month? We need a flag bearer for the Montana Club for the opening ceremony! JoAnn and I went to the International Rally in Sedalia, MO last year and I was our flag bearer. Great Fun! Made new friends from numerous other states. Let me know if you have an interest and I'll send you our flag. Have a great August and we'll hope to see you in Lethbridge!
