OLDEST AIRSTREAM CLUB IN NEW MEXICO
Welcome to the Home Page of the New Mexico Unit of the Wally Byam Airstream Club International. The Wally Byam Airstream Club International (WBAC) is a club for Airstream trailer and motorhome owners. The WBAC has a long and interesting history. Check out a couple of the history links on our links page for more information about the club's fame and fortune.
If you are an Airstream owner living in New Mexico, we would like to invite you to join our group and/or attend one of our upcoming Airstream rallies or local luncheons. Generally, each month, March through October, the NM Unit holds a rally somewhere in NM or an adjacent state. Members may also attend numerous National rallies, and the annual International rally held in July. Check out the links to our local, regional and national Rallys and Caravans on our links page.
The New Mexico unit’s rallies generally start on a Thursday and end on Sunday, however, some people may stay for only a day or two while others may come early and/or stay late. Rallies are usually held at an RV or NM State park where water and electricity are available, and visits to interesting sites around the area are taken. Occasionally, a “boondocking” rally/caravan may be scheduled to a scenic location where we “rough-it” with no hookups. During some rallies, social activities are offered, as well as Airstream maintenance seminars and, occasionally, unit business meetings. Breakfasts are often included, while dinner might be on your own, a potluck, or a group dinner at a local area restaurant. But don’t be worried about being over scheduled, all participants are encouraged to participate in as many or few activities as they please. We’re all there to relax and have a good time.
