The Swiss Festival National Rally is the oldest continuously scheduled recreational vehicle rally in the world. It was started in 1962 by the Land-O-Lakes WBCCI Unit. The Land-O-Lakes unit ran the rally for 50 years until it disbanded. When the Land-O-Lakes unit disbanded, Larry and Karin Kurkowski continued the rally with its rich traditions with the sponsorship of the Appalachian (now West Virginia Airstream Club) unit until 2021. At the 2021 Swiss Festival National Rally, the directorship was turned over to Fred Kiehl, Region 4 First Vice President, along with the sponsorship going to WBCCI Region 4.
