Bryson City is a small town in North Carolina. It’s a gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with wildflowers, streams and part of the Appalachian Trail. The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad offers train rides through the park, plus the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum. The Tuckasegee River is popular for white-water rafting. The Fly Fishing Museum of the Southern Appalachians has fishing gear and 1800s fly rods. This UnRally is totally unstructured and participants will determine their level of comfort when deciding whether to participate in pop-up events such as a hike from the campground on Boone Trail to get a coffee in the nearby town of Cumberland Gap, a trip to a local goat farm that has a wonderful knit shop in the backwoods of TN, a bike ride through a hidden tunnel to the Lincoln Memorial College town of Harrogate TN, or a bike ride to the Wilderness Road State Park in VA.
