ACI Rally2026

Volunteering & Giving Back

The spirit of volunteerism and charity fills the International Rally each year. Discover how you can make an impact by volunteering and giving back to the Minot community through the community service project, rally blood drive, and pull tab collection.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and make friends for life. No matter your age or ability, there’s a way for you to help!

Volunteers who work 4 or more hours receive a Rally Volunteer T-shirt and invitation to the Volunteer breakfast!

As we get closer to rally, each committee will have a detailed sign-up for volunteer shifts. For now, if you are interested in getting more information about volunteering at Rally2026, click here to sign up.

Committee Chairs

We have a couple of committees that still need leaders:

  • Golf Outing
  • Room Monitors

If you are ready to step up to the plate and make a difference, please fill out the Committee Chair interest form today.

Giving Back To Minot

To play some part in promoting international goodwill and understanding among the peoples of the world through person-to-person contact. – Wally Byam’s Creed

Souris Valley United Way Each year at rally we work to live up to Wally’s creed – to connect with the local community and make a positive impact on our host city. This year we are excited to announce our Community Service Project will support the Souris Valley United Way Backpack Buddies program. The program provides food for school children who might not otherwise have food over the weekend. Each week volunteers pack bags of food for local children in need.  Volunteers also transport the food to ten local schools. The food is transported to the school on Thursday where the teachers discreetly place them in certain backpacks.

Souris Valley United Way Backpack BuddiesHere are a few facts and statistics about the program:

  • This 2025-2026 school year, over 630 students across all Minot elementary schools, two Minot middle schools, and Minot Air Force Base rely on Backpack Buddies to have enough food to eat on the weekends.
  • Backpack Buddies began at one school in 2014 and has grown annually.
  • Every dollar counts:
    • $8 = one student fed for a weekend
    • $4,640 = weekly cost to feed elementary school students
    • $10,800 = annual cost to stock middle school pantries
    • $163,920 = program cost per school year

How We Will Support Backpack Buddies in Minot

We want to make the greatest impact on this community that is welcoming us with open arms. To do that, we are challenging all ACI members and rally goers to support Backpack Buddies in one or more of the following ways:

Monetary Donations

Minot Area Community FoundationEven if you can't attend rally, you can help us reach a goal of donating $10,000 to the Backpack Buddies program. The Minot Area Community Foundation has generously offered to match our donations up to $10,000, so that we can make an impact of $20,000! This will stock the middle school pantries for 2 years!

Pack Bags at the Rally

Backpack Buddies Packing PartyWe challenge you to bring enough food to pack 2,300 bags at the rally! This is approximately 1.5 bags per attendee and will feed all participating children for 1 month! Can we do it?! Yes we can! On Thursday afternoon, we'll get together to pack up the bags and fill up their trailer to keep kids nourished long after we're gone. Watch for more information about signing up to volunteer for the packing party.

Other Opportunities

Our Knitting and Crafting group has generously decided to donate handmade hats and scarves to the Backpack Buddies program to help keep kids warm this winter. It's requested that any mittens/gloves be waterproof.

Let’s rally together to make a positive impact on the Minot community!
