Departing Lake Wright Patman COE on 4 July we will enjoy stops in Elkhart IN, the Niagra Falls Area, and many places in between. Travel is casual, departing when you're ready and arriving in the evenings to share stories and make next day plans. Lounging by the Lake Near Coleman Texas 12 - 14 May 230 Friendship Park Rd Coleman TX 76834 May 12-14 will see a gathering at Hords Creek COE near Coleman Texas “The Friendliest Little Town in Texas”. Randy and Dawn Truesdell, along with Vickie and I will host this campout as we start to bid farewell to summer travelers. The booking window is open. Sites T007 & T030 in Loop 1 is the recommended area for reserving a site. We have heard the town of Coleman is a fun place to shop and visit. Please sign up soon!! You can experience everything from visiting historical sites to biking and hiking the local area, to great shopping, all from this great downtown location. We might even have a HOTC style mini-caravan to get there if enough are interested. This boondocking campout is a favorite of HOTC members, affiliates and many others. Union Grove COE Campout 9 - 12 Nov 8680 Union Grove Road Salado TX 76571 November will get us back to someplace relatively close and relaxing. We thought we would try Union Grove COE near Salado, TX. The community of Salado is a short 9 mile drive away and offers lots to do for those interested in crafts, and the historical aspects of this quaint town. Vickie and I are booked for Site 09. Please come and enjoy a relaxing Veteran’s Day weekend with us. We’ll share more info later. Once again activities will include the infamous Aluminum Chef Contest, trailer decorating contest, table decorating contest, best costume contest and of course a Gift Exchange as only HOTC can do.
